MARATHON BRINGS ATHLETIC STYLE TO EVERYDAY LIFE
We launched this model in 2023, inspired by the aesthetics of the sneakers worn on athletics tracks in the 1970s. Although they are not performance shoes, Marathons feature the typical silhouette of running shoes: with a tapered and aerodynamic shape, they are lightweight and designed to give maximum comfort to the wearer. Of all the Golden Goose sneaker models, the Marathon for women and men features the most retro design, inspired by the timeless look of athletes training on the track, to bring that same vibe to everyday wear, whether you’re moving around the city or traveling.
SNEAKERS THAT COMBINE TECHNICAL MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
Like all our shoes, the Marathon is the result of fully handcrafted production and are Made in Italy. They are made with high quality materials: from the upper, in leather and suede, to nylon fabrics, combined in different ways depending on the style. Some of these fabrics are water resistant, others are tear resistant: each variant of the Marathon has technical characteristics that make it unique, both aesthetically and functionally.
Some Marathons feature a 3D printed perforated panel on the heel that lengthens the shape of the sneaker, making it even more aerodynamic. This model also features the classic Golden Goose star without a point on the side, but that’s not all: on the back there is an "M", the signature logo of the Marathon, which fades into a lateral gradient creating the impression of speed.

These sneakers are designed to convey a clear message: "Run After your Dreams", chase your dreams, whatever they may be.
